VOLUNTEERS DO MORE THAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE ... THEY MAKE IT HAPPEN!
Marion Senior Services would like to welcome YOU to our staff of volunteers who provide in-home services and hot, nutritious meals to the frail and elderly residents of our community.
Our County's senior population continues to grow at an unprecedented rate and with limited resources, we depend on dedicated volunteers to help us meet the needs of our senior citizens.
Our volunteers are very special, shining very brightly in our community. As an integral part of our Volunteer Team, you will be working to improve the quality of life for those over the age of 60.
Become companions and friends
Provide light housekeeping
Make reassuring phone calls
Give a needed break to caregivers
Deliver Meals on Wheels
Help serve and entertain at Dining Sites
Assist in the distribution of Commodities
By working side by side with our agency personnel, you become an important part of our team. You help monitor our clients' well-being and can even become a "bridge" between the client and the case manager. We truly value and appreciate the time and effort contributed by each of our Volunteers.
Volunteering is a way for residents to take action and build the kind of community YOU want to live in. Volunteers learn that as citizens and neighbors, we all have a responsibility to help meet the needs of the most vulnerable and at-risk members of our community.
Volunteers can give a regularly scheduled part of their week or participate in special events only. Our volunteer needs are flexible enough for you to give a day a week, or a day a month or much more according to your availability.
We welcome all ages to contribute to our Volunteer program. It's a great way to give back to your community helping other senior citizens and a great way for teens to earn those much-needed volunteer hours now needed for college acceptance and scholarship applications.
